Pak-China Exemplary Friendship Continues to Grow Stronger with Time | Says Federal Information Minister
Pak-China Exemplary Friendship has once again been highlighted as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, as the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting emphasized that the historic relationship between Pakistan and China is becoming stronger and more resilient with the passage of time.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the minister stated that the friendship between Pakistan and China is not limited to diplomatic ties alone but is deeply rooted in mutual trust, respect, and shared strategic interests. He described the Pak-China relationship as a “model friendship” that has withstood regional and global challenges, emerging stronger at every stage.
A Relationship Built on Trust and Mutual Respect
The Federal Information Minister noted that Pakistan and China have always supported each other in difficult times, whether in matters of national sovereignty, economic development, or regional stability. According to him, the bond between the two countries is unique because it enjoys broad-based support from the governments, armed forces, business communities, and the people of both nations.
He added that China has consistently stood by Pakistan on key international forums, while Pakistan has reciprocated this support by firmly backing China’s core interests. This mutual understanding, he said, is the true strength of Pak-China exemplary friendship.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: A Symbol of Strong Ties
Highlighting the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the minister said the project is a shining example of practical cooperation between the two countries. CPEC, a flagship project of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has played a vital role in improving Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy capacity, and connectivity.
He explained that through CPEC, Pakistan has witnessed significant development in road networks, power generation, industrial zones, and port facilities, particularly at Gwadar. These projects, he said, are not only transforming Pakistan’s economy but also promoting regional trade and connectivity.
The minister further stated that both countries are now entering the second phase of CPEC, which focuses on industrial cooperation, agriculture, technology transfer, and socio-economic development. This phase, he added, will bring more employment opportunities and long-term economic stability to Pakistan.
People-to-People Contacts and Cultural Cooperation
The Federal Information Minister also emphasized the growing people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and China. He said that cultural exchanges, educational scholarships, media cooperation, and tourism initiatives have helped strengthen mutual understanding between the citizens of both countries.
Thousands of Pakistani students are currently studying in Chinese universities, benefiting from China’s advanced education system and research facilities. Similarly, Chinese language institutes and cultural centers in Pakistan are promoting closer cultural ties.
The minister stressed that the media of both countries has an important role to play in projecting positive narratives and countering misinformation. He encouraged stronger collaboration between Pakistani and Chinese media organizations to highlight development stories, cultural harmony, and shared achievements.
Strategic Cooperation and Regional Stability
Speaking on regional and global issues, the minister said that Pakistan and China share common views on peace, stability, and development in the region. He noted that both countries believe in dialogue, mutual respect, and non-interference in internal affairs as guiding principles of international relations.
He added that Pak-China cooperation contributes significantly to regional peace, particularly in South Asia and beyond. The strong strategic partnership between Islamabad and Beijing, he said, acts as a stabilizing factor in an increasingly complex global environment.
A Friendship for the Future
Concluding his remarks, the Federal Information Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further strengthening ties with China. He said that regardless of changing governments or global dynamics, the Pak-China exemplary friendship will continue to grow stronger with time.
He expressed confidence that future cooperation in areas such as technology, digital economy, green energy, and defense will open new chapters in bilateral relations. According to him, the friendship between Pakistan and China is not just for today but is a lasting partnership designed to benefit future generations of both nations.
The minister’s statement once again underlined that Pak-China exemplary friendship remains a key pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy and a symbol of enduring cooperation, trust, and shared prosperity.
